My journey began with a simple love for jewellery as a hobby using polymer clay for our daughter Joya at our home in sunny Darwin. Making unique and elegant little designs for her, quickly blossomed into a full-fledged adventure in creating one-of-a-kind pieces using polymer clay in my spare time.

It was polymer clay that captured me with its versatility, vibrant colours, and ability to mould and transform into stunning works of wearable art. Every piece I hand make and hand design is a reflection of my love for crafting and my belief that jewellery is more than an accessory—it’s an expression of individuality and personality.

At La Joya, I pride myself on handcrafting jewellery that’s as unique as the people who wear it. Whether it’s a bold statement piece or a delicate everyday accessory, each item is lovingly made with attention to detail, as are our beads and sterling silver which are all hand made in my home country of Indonesia.
